What a Season
First of all I would like to thank every one who came out for our 2009 hunting season. We really had a great time seeing old friends come back and meeting new interesting customers as well. As a family we hope that everyone who came out had a great time while you were here, and are already looking forward to seeing everyone come back for the 2010 season.
For friends and followers who were not able to make it this last year, the birds numbers were great once again at the GrandSlam Pheasant Hunts. As always each group that attended the 2009 pheasant hunting season limited out with all of their birds, even with some of the worst weather conditions we have come across in the last 20 years. Speaking of weather, this winter has been really brutal. We have had 3-4 different blizards, 3 ice storms and wind gusts up to 45-60 mph. Luckily enough we have yet to loose any power, but a lot of the surrounding areas have. The wild life is hanging in there, getting shelter from some of the bigger tree belts. Most of the switch grass and food plots have been filled with snow, so we have been periodically hauling feed out for the birds.
I will be posting short photo/videos on the blog from the 2009 pheasan hunting season and will also try to get a bunch of photos of the wildlife and winter storms that we've been having. Hope everyone is doing well and had a great holiday.
Take care and keep in touch,
