Summer Remodeling
BUSY SUMMER
First of all, I want to apologize for the long awaiting update to the Blog. This summer has been extremely busy for the hole family. Things are going great at Grand Slam Pheasant Hunts though. There has been a lot of remodeling going on this summer throughout the lodge.
First of all Lorie has been doing a lot of painting, staining, and caning foods. All of the rooms upstairs along with the hallway have a new look to them. Occasionaly she gets helps from the boys. Curt has been staying busy being in the tractor, cutting strips for the fields and taking care of the food plots. The new big project for him now is completing the porch in front of the lodge.
Both of the boys are keeping really busy as well with their own projects going on. Cody makes it back to lodge as much as possible to help out with new updates or putting time in the fields spraying. Lately he has been putting in a lot of time into the new front porch. Corbin has also been really busy building furniture all summer. Some of the projects he's been working on is, new chairs for the dinning room, benches and end tables for the porch, new mirors, a new poker table, and also a couple other tables for some clients.
All together this has been a great year for the Korzan's, most of all the bird population is enormous. Records from GFP show that this should be one of the best hatches since 1964 and Brule county is rated number one. We are still seeing young birds that haven't developed all of their colors yet because of the late hatches we had from the flooding ealier this summer. But, not to worry, there will be plenty of birds throughout the whole season. Its great to get up early in the morning and see all the pheasants eating in the wheat fields.
The family is really looking forward to seeing all of our friends and hunters this Fall, which will be here before we know it. We hope everyone is having a great year and doing well. Take care and have a safe trip out here.
